Red Cafè is on the corner of Via Panfilo Castaldi and Via Lecco, in the middle of the Porta Venezia cluster. It is the cheap one: gin and tonics at a price the rest of the street has left behind, and a cold buffet with the aperitivo.
The room is small and red, and most people end up standing outside with a glass. It runs as a neighbourhood bar rather than a night out in itself, which is why it fills early and empties into the clubs later.
The bar describes itself as being for everyone rather than as a gay bar, but it has been part of the Via Lecco scene for years and the crowd is largely queer. There is no website; the Facebook page is where the venue posts.
