MONO opened in 2007 and was the first queer bar on Via Lecco, which is how Porta Venezia ended up with a gay street at all. It sits on the corner with Via Panfilo Castaldi, across from LeccoMilano.
The room is small and retro, with a long bar and a DJ in the corner rather than a booth. Aperitivo runs early and the crowd spills onto the pavement, which is where most of the evening actually happens. Music leans pop and disco.
The bar closed in spring 2026 and reopened within weeks under new management, keeping the name and the pink lettering. Reservations go through WhatsApp.
