Stretto Pride is the Pride march of Messina, put on by the city's Arcigay committee. It carries the patronage of the city council and of the metropolitan authority.
This edition goes under the theme Sulla rotta dei diritti, a route of rights, which plays on the city sitting on the Strait. Two comic artists from a local studio donated the official artwork, and it goes on the posters and on this year's shirts.
The march normally falls in early summer. It was pushed back this year because the local elections took the city through the spring, and the organisers wanted the campaign out of the way first.
