Florence Baths has been the only gay sauna in the city since it opened in 1991. It is near the Mercato Centrale, a few minutes from the main station.
There is a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath, open showers, private cabins, a darkroom and a video room. The garden at the back is the reason to come in summer: an outdoor whirlpool and a cruising area in the open air. Massage can be booked, and the bar does drinks and food.
It is easy to find and central, but it is a small place, and it gets crowded in warm weather. Membership is required and can be bought at the door.
