About this Event
Brescia Pride is a march and a day out on the same ground. Campo Marte, the old parade field northwest of the centre, becomes the Parco Pride, and it stays open while the march is out on the streets.
The route is about three kilometres and flat the whole way, and it returns to Campo Marte instead of ending somewhere else. Every float carries water. A staffed quiet zone travels with the march, there is a second one in Piazza Vittoria at the halfway point, and accessible toilets and drinking fountains are marked on the interactive map the organisers publish.
Reserved parking for disabled visitors is set aside in Via Ugo Foscolo and has to be booked in advance through the organisers. The nearest metro stop is San Faustino, bus lines 2, 11, 13 and 15 stop nearby, and it is a walk of about two kilometres from the railway station.
The committee behind it is a registered association and builds the day as a political demonstration first, with speeches and performances on the field before the march sets off and again after it comes back.
