La Ciclatera is one of the oldest bars in Bari and now runs from Strada Angiola, a pedestrian lane in the old town, having moved there from its previous address. It is small and warm inside, with a few tables out on the lane.
It calls itself an american bar. The list covers cocktails, local wines and craft beers, and alongside them herbal teas, hot chocolate and coffee made in a moka pot, which is not what most late bars pour. Food is crepes, maxitoast and boards of mixed cured meats and cheese.
It is the sister bar to La Ciclatera Sotto il Mare on the city walls and carries the same LGBTQ+ friendly welcome, in a quieter room without the view.
