The Stage Door Cafe is on Essex Street East in Temple Bar, on the block that runs past the Project Arts Centre. It is gay-owned, and it has been a meeting point for Dublin's queer crowd, theatre people and Temple Bar regulars for years.
The draw is breakfast. A full Irish, eggs, and coffee, served in a small room hung with pictures and memorabilia, with tables out on the cobbles when the weather allows.
It is a cafe and not a bar, and it is busy, so expect to wait when it is full.
