About this Event
Dublin Pride is five days of festival with the march and parade in the middle of it, on the Saturday. The organisers put the number taking part in the parade at over 100,000 and call it the biggest celebration of diversity and inclusion on the island of Ireland.
Walking in it costs nothing and an individual or a few friends need not register at all. The parade assembles on O'Connell Street and turns onto the Quays, and once it is moving anyone can step in anywhere along it; the assembly zones themselves are capacity controlled, so the public way in is the Purple Zone. A larger group registers beforehand, and community groups and non-profit organisations pay no fee for that.
Around the parade the festival runs five days and five nights of community and cultural events across the city, with its own festival site building on the Merrion Square event the organisation has run for years.
