Wigwam

Wigwam is a bar, restaurant and club on Middle Abbey Street, north of the river. It runs three spaces: a basement club, a main floor and a roof terrace.

Drag is a fixture here rather than an occasional booking. The venue runs drag brunches and drag-and-dine sittings with resident queens, and the basement takes club nights, some of them queer. The rest of the programme is broad: karaoke, bingo, trivia, pizza nights, DJ bookings and festival tie-ins.

It is not a gay bar and does not call itself one. It is listed here because Dublin's gay sauna names it among the city's queer venues in its own directory, and because the drag calendar is the reason it earns that.
