Sauna 69 has been on Angyal utca since 2004. Men only, 9th district, and the venue bills itself as Budapest's favourite gay sauna for a younger crowd. The age spread on any given night is wider than that suggests, which, depending on your preferences, is either a feature or beside the point.
Facilities: Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, steam room, jacuzzi pool, private cabins with beds, an Ergoline sunbed, and a café bar with TV lounge. Free WiFi throughout. Swedish and sports massage are available on site; you book at the reception on the day, not in advance by phone or online.
Thursdays at 7pm there is a sauna séance: four rounds of ten to fifteen minutes, essential oils on the stones, a sauna master running the session. Saturday evenings from 7pm are Naked Sex Night, with complimentary sparkling wine between 8pm and 10pm. Monday brings a discounted rate for students under 30 holding a Hungarian student ID issued in Hungary. The S69 membership card unlocks additional offers and is available at the desk.
The bar does coffee, soft drinks, alcohol, sandwiches, and pizza. Visa and Mastercard accepted.
To get there: metro M3 to Ferenc körút; trams 4 and 6 to Mester utca; tram 2 to Boráros tér. Night buses 950 and 950A stop at Corvin negyed.

Adam, Milan, Viktor and Aron are your extra-caring Sauna operators and are really nice and friendly chaps, the place is easy to find coming from Boráros Square tram stop near-by, the facility is a well-equipped, generally clean getaway for mostly-ok-plus looking guys for relaxing among their relatable species in a steamy environment that has the usual divisions and "departments" – of which I personally was more attached to the wet room, a little cabin that has a hot tropical feel with droplets emerging non-stop from the ceiling, the visibility of an ambiguous, dense misty wood and the best male-bonding encounters I've had in town :). The swimmable pool is more than just a jaccuzzi, although you're not allowed to have sx in there- that's a go-to spot where you can meet super nice men between sessions for some casual cultural exchange & see some beautiful faces amid the disco feel! The crowd is mixed and I was blessed (or lucky?) to find myself around at least two or three patrons who are my type on EACH of the 4 consecutive evenings that I went there (don't judge me haha). I'm quite sure to go back there if Budapest is on my itinerary again.
The place is outstanding! Clean and organized well. There are many rooms , a nice and relaxing jacuzzi, a really good sauna and nice people around. The people working there were happy to assist with anything I asked. Polite and kind service. I would recommend it for sure if you want to have a nice experience in this aspect!
Very nice and clean sauna in Budapest. Very good and helpful staff. Adam who is working there is a wonderful guy, he's very polite and attentive, always ready to help and support the guests. It's rare to meet such a great employee in saunas or clubs. One of the reasons we came back several times to this sauna was this guy who greets you with heat, supports you, pays attention to the guests and doesn't tries to cheat as it happens in many other places. Me and my friend visited this sauna several times and spend good time there. There are more young and cute guys there compared to other sauna (Magnum) which is more for old generation. Keep in mind that in Budapest Saunas work till midnight, and on weekends till 02.00. Most crowded days are Fridays and Saturdays. Best hours are from 6pm till 11pm, even on weekends. after 10pm people start to leave. Good luck👌👍
Nice sauna, very comfortable with everything you could need: jacuzzi, dry and wet sauna, private rooms, bar. Very clean environment and very friendly staff. Reasonable costs. Not the Best sauna in town but accepted. there is a proper hygienic center near the steam room. friendly staff. unfortunatly couldn't find the vibe inside.
