Ira Baths is the oldest gay bathhouse in Athens, inside an arcade off Zinonos near Omonia Square. It began as an ordinary Turkish hammam and became a gay venue, and it still looks and feels like the former.
It is a daytime place rather than a night one, small, and the crowd is mature men. There is a hammam, a sauna, private rooms and a cruising area including a darkroom.
The entrance is easy to walk past: it is inside the arcade, not on the street. There is no website and no Facebook page, only an Instagram account, which is where anything the house announces gets posted.
