Big Bar is the bear bar in Athens, and has been since 2004, which makes it the first of its kind in the city. It is on Falaisias, at the far end of Gazi, in a small room the regulars call the cave.
It is a bar rather than a club: no big dancefloor, a lot of standing and talking, and the music at a level where that still works. The programme runs to themed nights, performances, art shows and bazaars, and the bar takes part in the city's bear pride weekend.
The old domain bigbar.gr no longer resolves. Everything now goes through the Facebook page, which carries the phone number and the email.
