Beaver

About

Beaver is a women's cooperative running a cafe bar on Vasileiou tou Megalou, west of Gazi. It is run collectively rather than owned, and that shapes both the room and the programme.

The look is deliberately plain, more DIY than designed, and the crowd is alternative and largely queer women. It works all day: coffee, cake, savoury food including vegan options, drinks later. Quiz nights are a fixture, and the space is also used for talks, readings and political events.

Everyone is welcome, it is not a members' club. There is no working website: beaver.gr does not answer, and the Facebook page carries the phone number and the email.
