I had a wonderful stay there. The crowd was mixed, I'd say. The staff was friendly and everything was clean. I'd gladly come again!

But I have a question: Why don't you hand out flyers at the gay parties in Würzburg or at the Wuf? I didn't even know there was a gay sauna in Würzburg for ages. 😊

I was there half a year ago, in October 2023, for the first time and so far, my only time. That wasn't because of the sauna, but because I took public transport from Stuttgart, and the connections back are unfortunately not that good. You have to leave much too early. But I really liked the Alibi itself. It's not a small facility. There are, of course, larger gay saunas with more offerings, but this one is surprisingly large compared to the saunas in Stuttgart. The staff were very friendly and pleasant, and there was a large dining area, so you could definitely spend an entire evening there. When I was there, it wasn't very busy, but I also got there early, around 5 p.m., because I had to take the bus back to the train station at 8:30 p.m. I still had fun! It's good that this exists in Würzburg! And when I always read, "a lot of older people, but the sauna can't help it"...?! Shouldn't there be any older people at all? Now that I'm in my early 30s, I'm not necessarily looking for older men, but some of them are often significantly more attractive than some 25-year-olds! So, cheers to the diversity of men, something for every taste and every mood.

I was there for the first time a few days ago and was absolutely pleasantly surprised!

I've heard various stories about the Alibi in the past, and they were mostly negative. But now I wanted to see for myself, and I wasn't disappointed:
Yes, it's primarily a gay sauna, meaning it's mostly men-only. If that doesn't mean anything to you, you should find out what to expect before your visit. However, it's open to everyone at certain times, but since I wasn't there, I can't comment on that.

The clientele is mixed, and at 35, I was one of the youngest, but the owner can't control the type and age of the visitors. So, that doesn't affect my rating.

The ambiance is quite nice, and while I've always been told that everything is so shabby and outdated, I can't confirm that. Everything is clean and of high quality, and I can't complain.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and no matter what, they're always there to help and advise you.

The prices are perfectly reasonable, both for admission (currently €20 plus a possible fee for rental towels), and for drinks and food. The selection is wide and varied, and you should definitely find something to suit your taste.

I personally didn't go into the steam room, as I don't particularly like it, but my partner was there and said you can relax alone or have fun with others if you want. It's quite dark inside.

The shower area is clean, and you can adjust the temperature to your liking; there's also a cold shower for cooling off. The shower area itself is also relatively dark and could be a bit better lit for my taste.

The sauna (there's only one) isn't particularly large, but there's plenty of room. There are no guided infusions, but you can get a bucket of infusion water from the bar and do it yourself at any time, which I liked. This avoids the infusion frenzy you'd find in other saunas at certain times. I was in the cabin alone and with several people, and I never felt uncomfortable.

The lounge area on the ground floor is equipped with numerous loungers, sofas, hammocks, and chairs, allowing you to rest and relax at any time. There's a small pond with fish, a small, separate lounge area, and background music that completely suited my taste and wasn't too loud or too quiet for me.

The relaxation room, which can also be used for cooling off, was a bit too small and too warm for my taste. With two or three people standing in there, depending on their body size, it's already crowded. The air was too warm for me to cool off, but okay. In the evenings, it got a bit colder due to the outside temperature.

I can't comment on the smoking area, as I'm not a non-smoker.

The area upstairs is the Dark Room Area. True to its name, it's very dark, but you can see enough of your surroundings and the people in it. There are areas with sofas and seating or reclining options, and screens showing movies. There are lockable individual booths where you can retreat together, and areas where you can use various things, such as a sling or holes in the walls, depending on your taste and preferences.

All in all, the Alibi doesn't deserve a 5 out of 5, but it's a solid 4 out of 5. There's room for improvement, but the complaints are mostly minor. I'll definitely stop by here more often, because I'm glad Würzburg has such a facility and hope it will continue to exist for a long time, perhaps even being further improved and expanded.

I read all the reviews and paid attention to the negative points, and yes, the mentioned issues have been resolved 👍 A bit nicer lighting would completely transform the atmosphere 😉 Cleanliness was good, and the staff was very friendly; we quickly struck up a conversation, and they were quick to help with any questions.

The €17 entry fee for a 10-visit pass is absolutely fine considering current energy prices.

I'll gladly come again 😊

First off: the place is clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The prices at the bar aren't exorbitant.

What bothers me personally:

- There's no whirlpool. Just a dry sauna and a steam room. The dry sauna is really small and usually packed. The steam room is darker than the darkroom upstairs. If you want to go to the back where it's hotter, you're likely to step on someone's toes. Light only comes from the milky entrance door and through a few glass blocks that lead into the shower. But it's dark in the shower too.

- There are no condoms or lubricant in the play area. Sure, I can get them at the bar, but when things get going, I'm certainly not going to have to go downstairs. Safer sex posters are useless then. They do have wipes and disinfectant available, after all.
