I had a wonderful stay there. The crowd was mixed, I'd say. The staff was friendly and everything was clean. I'd gladly come again!

But I have a question: Why don't you hand out flyers at the gay parties in Würzburg or at the Wuf? I didn't even know there was a gay sauna in Würzburg for ages. 😊

I was there for the first and only time about six months ago, in October 2023. That wasn't because of the sauna itself, but because I had taken public transport from Stuttgart and the connections back aren't very good. You have to leave way too early. But I really liked the Alibi itself. It's not a small place. There are certainly larger gay saunas with more amenities, but this one is surprisingly big compared to the saunas in Stuttgart. The staff was very friendly and pleasant, and there's a large lounge area, so you could easily spend a whole evening there. When I was there, it wasn't very busy, but I also arrived early, around 5 pm, because I had to catch the bus back to the train station at 8:30 pm. I still had a great time! It's great that Würzburg has something like this! And when I keep reading things like, "a lot of older people, but the sauna can't help that"...?! Shouldn't any older people come at all? Now in my early 30s, I'm not necessarily into older men, but some of them are often significantly more attractive than many 25-year-olds! So, kudos to the diversity of men, that there's something for every taste and mood.

I visited for the first time a few days ago and was absolutely delighted!

I'd heard various stories about the Alibi in the past, and they were mostly negative. But I wanted to see for myself, and I wasn't disappointed:

Yes, it's primarily a gay sauna, so mostly men-only. If that doesn't mean anything to you, you should find out what to expect before your visit. It's also open to everyone at certain times, but since I wasn't there during those hours, I can't comment on that.

The clientele is mixed, and at 35, I was one of the youngest, but the owner can't control the age or demographics of the visitors. Therefore, that doesn't factor into my rating.

The ambiance is quite pleasant, and while I'd always been told it was run-down and outdated, I can't confirm that at all. Everything is clean and well-made, and I have no complaints.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and no matter what, they're always there to assist you.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and no matter what the issue, they're always ready to help.

The clientele is mixed, and I'm always there to offer advice and support. The prices are perfectly reasonable, both for entry (currently €20 plus a possible fee for towel rental) and for drinks and food. The selection is wide-ranging, and you should definitely find something to suit your taste.

I didn't personally use the steam room, as I'm generally not a big fan, but my partner went in and said you can relax there alone or have fun with others if you want. It's quite dark inside.

The shower area is clean, and you can adjust the temperature to your liking; there's also a cold shower for cooling off. The shower area itself is also relatively dark and could be a touch brighter, in my opinion.

The sauna (there's only one) isn't particularly large, but there's enough space. There aren't any guided sauna infusions, but you can get a bucket of water from the bar and perform them yourself at any time, which I appreciated. This avoids the frenetic sauna infusion frenzy you often find in other saunas at set times. I've been in the cabin both alone and with several people and never felt uncomfortable.

The lounge area on the ground floor is furnished with numerous loungers, sofas, hammocks, and chairs, making it easy to relax and unwind at any time. There's a small pond with fish, a small, separate lounging area, and background music that perfectly suited my taste—not too loud or too quiet.

The relaxation room, which can also be used for cooling off, was a bit too small and too warm for my liking. If two or three people are in there, depending on their size, it's already quite full. The air was too warm for me to cool down, but it was okay. It got a bit cooler in the evenings due to the outside temperature.

I can't comment on the smoking area, as I'm a non-smoker.

The area upstairs is the dark room area. As the name suggests, it's very dark, but you can still see enough of your surroundings and the people in them. There are areas with sofas, seating and reclining options, and screens showing films. Lockable individual cabins are available, offering privacy for couples, and areas where users can utilize various features like slings or wall-mounted sex toys, depending on their tastes and preferences.

All in all, Alibi isn't quite a 5 out of 5, but a solid 4 out of 5. There's room for improvement, but the issues are mostly minor. I'll definitely be back, as I'm glad Würzburg has such a facility and hope it continues to exist for a long time, perhaps even being further improved and expanded.

I read all the reviews and paid attention to the negative points, and yes, the mentioned issues have been resolved 👍 A bit nicer lighting would completely transform the atmosphere 😉 Cleanliness was good, and the staff was very friendly; we quickly struck up a conversation, and they were quick to help with any questions.

The €17 entry fee for a 10-visit pass is absolutely fine considering current energy prices.

I'll gladly come again 😊

First off: the place is clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The prices at the bar aren't exorbitant.

What bothers me personally:

- There's no whirlpool. Just a dry sauna and a steam room. The dry sauna is really small and usually packed. The steam room is darker than the darkroom upstairs. If you want to go to the back where it's hotter, you're likely to step on someone's toes. Light only comes from the milky entrance door and through a few glass blocks that lead into the shower. But it's dark in the shower too.

- There are no condoms or lubricant in the play area. Sure, I can get them at the bar, but when things get going, I'm certainly not going to have to go downstairs. Safer sex posters are useless then. They do have wipes and disinfectant available, after all.
