The Bluebox is a cruising cinema on Schwalbacher Straße in the middle of Wiesbaden, next to the Mauritius Galerie car park. It describes itself as the popular cruising cinema in the heart of the city, and the layout backs that up.
There is a main hall with proper cinema seats, and behind it several rooms with gloryholes and open play areas. Video cabins let you pick your own film. A second, smaller screening room called the Vogelnest is on the floor above.
It is not a gay-only house. The programme is mixed and so is the crowd on an ordinary night, but the parties the cinema puts on itself are advertised for gays and friends. The car park next door is the easiest way to arrive without walking the length of Schwalbacher Straße.
