Walsrode holds its fourth Christopher Street Day in 2027. The town sits in the Heidekreis district between Hannover, Hamburg and Bremen, and its CSD is the Pride for the whole district, a rural area where the next big-city parade is an hour away.
The day is a demonstration through the town centre with speeches, music and information stands from local groups. It is a small-town Pride: a few hundred people, hand-painted signs, rainbow and Progress flags, and a walking pace that leaves room to talk.
The organisers are Queer Heidekreis, a volunteer group that also runs walks and meet-ups in the district through the year. Taking part is free and nobody needs to register.
