Pleasure is a sex shop on Karl-Marx-Straße in the Trier old town, a short walk south of the market. The shop part sells DVDs, magazines, toys and hygiene articles.
Behind it is the reason it turns up in gay guides: an air-conditioned cinema over two floors with three screens, and a corridor of video cabins off it. The programme on the cabins changes weekly. Part of the cinema is given over to gay films and the gay crowd is a substantial share of the visitors, though the place is not gay-only.
Staff and regulars describe the atmosphere as open and unbothered. It is one of the few cruising-type options in the city, Trier having no gay sauna.
