Puzzles is a queer bar in Trier-Süd, in the Nikolausstraße a few streets back from the Mosel. It calls itself a pub and night café and works as both: a quiet drinking bar early on, a party bar late.
The room is small and decorated to a theme, and the crowd is mostly gay men with everyone else welcome. The bar puts "Everyone is welcome" on its own page and says entry is free. There is a terrace that runs from June to October. The inside is non-smoking. Drinks run to beer, wine and cocktails, with the cocktails what reviewers usually mention first.
SCHMIT-Z, the queer centre, schedules some of its group evenings here, so the bar is part of the organised scene as well as the nightlife. Late closing is the norm on party nights.
