Club 2B is a cruise club for gay and bisexual men in a basement off the Marienstraße, opposite the Gerber shopping centre. Meet, cruise, play is the motto on its front page and a fair summary of the place.
It is run as a registered non-profit association rather than a business, staffed by volunteers, and it is members-only. Membership is applied for in person at the counter, on paper, and you have to be eighteen. Members get in faster and cheaper and get a say in what the parties are.
There is a bar, a darkroom and themed parties with dress codes, and the club publishes its house rules, its dress code and a health page on its own site. The entrance is a white door in a courtyard between a waxing studio and a clothes shop, which is easy to walk past; ring and go down.
