The BLUE BOX is a cruising cinema on three floors in the middle of Stuttgart, near the Leonhardsviertel. It calls itself an Erlebniskino, an experience cinema, and it is over-18s only.
The layout is video cabins with a few hundred digital programmes, glory holes between them, a darkroom, a sling area, a small screening room with seats, a lying cabin and a BDSM corner with a cross and a bock. There are separate smoking and non-smoking floors and the whole place is air-conditioned.
It is explicitly not gay-only: the daily programme mixes gay, straight, trans and bi films, and the house says everyone is welcome. Monthly theme days narrow it down, among them a bears' day, a naked day, a couples' day, a BDSM day and one for trans and cross-dressing visitors.
