About

The Regenbogenkombinat is Potsdam's queer centre. It is run by AndersARTiG, the Brandenburg state association for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people, and sits on Dortustraße in the northern old town, a few minutes from the Dutch Quarter.

The main room seats about forty and is set up for events rather than for drinking. Readings, film nights, workshops, project meetings and general assemblies all happen here, and so do the regular fixtures: a queer karaoke night, meetings for trans and non-binary people, a games evening for FLINTA people, and newpride, a leisure group for queer teenagers.

It is also the address for counselling. Coming out, transition, sexual health and discrimination are all covered, and the education work that goes out to schools and companies across Brandenburg is run from here.

Potsdam has very little queer nightlife of its own, so for a visitor this is the place to find out what is actually on. The Brandenburg CSD organising happens through the same association.
