EK2 is a sex cinema on Grenzstraße in the south of Oberhausen, close to the Mülheim boundary. The same operator runs two further cinemas in Duisburg.
There are three cinema rooms running a large rotating programme, five video cabins, a darkroom, gloryholes and a big open play area. One room is set aside for couples. The building is air conditioned, and there is parking in the rear courtyard rather than on the street.
Heterosexual, bisexual and gay films run at the same time in different rooms, so the audience is mixed. The venue holds regular trans nights, and trans guests get in free. A shop at the front sells DVDs and toys.
