Achilleus is the gay sauna of Nuremberg, in the old town within the city walls and two minutes from the U-Bahn. Since the ChirinGay closed it is the only one the city has, and it runs to around a thousand square metres.
Sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, a bar with a bistro, wellness and cruising areas, with an infusion programme through the day and massages bookable separately. There are youngster nights, foam parties and a CSD programme, and the sauna also runs unisex days, which is unusual for the genre and stated clearly on its own page.
The house rules are published in full, in German and English, which makes it an easy one to visit if you have not been to a German sauna before.
