The Savoy calls itself the oldest still-running scene pub in the Nuremberg Südstadt, just south of the main station, and it has been going for over forty years. It came through a two-year renovation and reopened without losing the chandeliers.
It is intimate rather than large, with a mixed and convivial crowd, beer and cocktails, music, dancing when the room feels like it, a terrace, and dogs allowed. The Franconian queer magazine GayCon treats it as a fixed point of the local calendar, and the bar keeps its own Pride programme.
