The Badehaus behind the Hotel Deutsche Eiche has been running since 1995 and is the largest men's sauna in Germany. You get in through the hotel reception on Reichenbachstraße.
Four floors, with a Finnish sauna, a salt sauna, a large steam bath, a whirlpool, a solarium, video rooms, a dark room, a bistro and bar, a massage studio and a roof garden. Capacity is around 300 men. The two saunas were rebuilt recently and all areas are open again.
It draws men of every age and type. The city's tourism board recommends Sunday midday and afternoon as the time to go if you want it busy.
