The Drei Glöcklein has been on Hans-Sachs-Straße since 1972 and is one of the smallest gay venues in Munich. From outside there is nothing to mark it out except a small rainbow flag over the door.
Inside it is rustic and cramped in the way that makes strangers talk to each other. The crowd is older and largely regulars, the mood is unhurried, and nobody is here to be seen.
The fetish association MLC holds an occasional club night here, which brings a different crowd through the door.
