Die Insel is Münster's men's sauna, on Geringhoffstraße in the south of the city. It describes itself as the sauna bath for him, and the building is laid out for a long stay rather than a quick visit: several saunas, a steam room and a swimming pool of its own to cool off in.
On arrival you choose a locker or a cabin. There are infusions through the day, massages can be booked, and the kitchen does soup and salads alongside the bar. The house rules are posted on site.
It is men only, apart from one mixed day a month when women are welcome too. The crowd is largely local and regular.
