Livas is Münster's centre for lesbian, bi and queer women, trans, inter and non-binary people. It has been running since 1998 and sums up its own work in three words: counselling, culture, meeting.
The cultural half is the visible one. Self-organised parties, readings, sport, talks and workshops, with empowerment, self-care and sex positivity as the themes that keep coming back. Alongside that there is a first counselling appointment for anyone who wants one, a coming-out group, and a meetup for older lesbians.
The house on Schaumburgstraße is shared with several of the city's other queer organisations, so an evening at Livas often sits next to something else happening in the same building.
