Jails

Jails is a gay fetish bar in the basement of the MS Connexion complex in Mannheim Neckarau. It has been running for more than thirty years and calls itself one of the oldest and largest play spaces in southern Germany.

The place is built for leather, fetish and SM parties, with areas laid out for different kinds of play and showers including a hygiene shower. Some nights are men only and others are mixed: naked and underwear parties, bondage and SM, rubber, bear nights, a trans, inter and non-binary night, and outside events such as the FickstutenMarkt.

Condoms and lube are free at the bar. The club takes no position on bareback and points guests at the Mannheim centre for sexual health, which tests for the main infections several times a month. Photography and recording of any kind are banned, phones stay in the locker at the cloakroom, and the staff will take a device off anyone who ignores that. Drug offences mean an immediate ban.

Guests are expected to clean up after themselves and the tissues and cleaning supplies for it are laid out around the club.
