Kattwinkel sits directly beside the Eigelsteintorburg, well away from the Rudolfplatz cluster, and is the gay and lesbian bar of the Eigelstein quarter. Wood, low light, a rustic room.
The terrace holds more than eighty seats and looks straight at the medieval gate, which is the reason most people come in summer. Inside, the gin collection runs to about thirty-five bottles and there are recurring party nights through the year.
A local gay magazine has voted it bar of the year. It has been an institution in the quarter for a long time.
