Amadeus is a café bar in the Altstadt at the foot of the Klein Sankt Martin tower, painted pink almost throughout. It works as a café in the daytime and a bar at night.
Drag shows run monthly, with themed parties around Cologne Pride and carnival. The terrace is large by Altstadt standards and is the main reason people pick it in summer.
The crowd is mixed in age and includes a good number of people who never go near the Schaafenstraße bars.
