WOS, short for World of Sex, is a sex shop and cinema on Schuhmacherstraße in Kiel's Altstadt. It is the only cinema of its kind in the city with a gay clientele, which in a city Kiel's size makes it the default rather than one option among several.
Behind the shop floor there is a screening room with seating and a run of video cabins, some large enough for two, with the film chosen at the booth. The corridors between the cabins are where the cruising happens.
The house is mixed rather than men only, so the gay traffic concentrates in the cabin area and varies a good deal with the hour. Staff keep the rooms clean and are around.
