The Atlantik is an erotic cinema in a commercial pocket of Mühlburg, north west of the centre, and it is the address in Karlsruhe built around cruising indoors. It calls itself modern and generously laid out.
The place runs over two levels. There are screening areas showing gay films, private cabins, a darkroom, glory holes and an SM room fitted out with a gynaecological chair. Lockers are there for anything you would rather not carry around, and there is a drinks counter.
The crowd is mostly gay men, with couples and trans guests as well. Alongside the regular programme the house runs themed nights, including a recurring trans party. There are no sex workers on the premises.
