The Dragon Sauna on the Pulverteich in St. Georg is the largest and most popular gay sauna in Hamburg, spread over roughly 1800 square metres a few minutes from the Hauptbahnhof. Inside there is a Finnish sauna, a large steam room, a caldarium and a whirlpool, alongside a cruising area and a darkroom.
There is a bar and bistro for breaks between the heat, and the sauna hosts a regular gay checkpoint for community HIV and STI testing. It draws a broad, mixed-age gay crowd and runs nonstop across the weekend.
