Café Uhrlaub has been on the Lange Reihe in St. Georg for more than sixty years, a plain, cosy neighbourhood café in the middle of Hamburg's main queer street. It flies a rainbow awning and is a fixed meeting point in the quarter for queer and non-queer guests alike.
The kitchen runs from breakfast through the day, with plates that are cheap by Lange Reihe standards, cakes and coffee, and tables out on the pavement. A few simple rooms upstairs work as a small pension.
