Café Gnosa has stood on the Lange Reihe in St. Georg since 1939 and grew into one of Hamburg's best known gay and lesbian meeting points from the 1980s on. It keeps the feel of a Viennese coffee house, with a long glass counter of homemade cakes.
The kitchen runs from breakfast through dinner alongside coffee, wine and cocktails, and there are tables out on the pavement when the weather allows. The café takes no reservations. It sits a few minutes from the Hauptbahnhof and the Aussenalster, in the middle of the St. Georg scene.
