The WunderBar has been on the Talstraße just off the Reeperbahn since 1991 and is one of the loudest, most colourful gay bars on the Kiez. It calls itself a safe space, and its motto, love is for everyone, sets the tone for a young, mixed queer crowd.
The room is all plush and glitter, with disco balls, neon and sofa corners to disappear into. Midweek and weekend nights bring DJs playing charts and Schlager, and the bar runs its bigger XXL parties on top. It sits at the centre of the St. Pauli queer nightlife.
