The Jupi Bar sits on the corner of the Caffamacherreihe and the Speckstraße in the Gängeviertel, the collectively run quarter in Hamburg's Neustadt. It has been going since 2009 as a FLINTA and queer space, strongly left, and describes itself as a safer space, including for trans people.
Drinks work on a pay-what-you-can basis and indoor smoking is allowed. The room is warm and hand-painted, the shared living room of the quarter, with a genuinely welcoming, alternative feel.
