The Treffpunkt am Wilhelmsplatz is a volunteer-run meeting place in Wehringhausen, in the rooms of a pub the district still talks about. Nine people set the association up in 2018 to bring the place back, and its own strapline translates as "where Rainer used to be".
The bar is open at weekends and anyone can walk in. The rest of the week the rooms belong to whoever has booked them: a neighbourhood history circle, Omas gegen Rechts, the local Attac group, photo exhibitions about the area and the people who moved into it.
For queer visitors the reason to come is Jede:r Mensch, Hagen's queer Stammtisch, which meets here once a month and is free to get into. Cocktails and conversation rather than a programme.
