Tangerine is the old pub of the Frankfurt gay quarter, a small room in Elefantengasse fitted out with heavy wooden furniture of the kind German pubs have always used.
The crowd is mixed in age and mostly regulars, and the bar is a smoking one. There is no dance floor and no programme to speak of, which is the point: this is the place people go before or after the louder bars a few doors away.
It has no website. Facebook and Instagram are where the bar posts.
