Bar Central is the cocktail bar of the Frankfurt gay quarter, one street behind Alte Gasse in Elefantengasse. Black walls, a red floor and a lit spirits shelf, with room for about fifteen people at the bar itself.
It has been open around twenty years and draws a younger and more student crowd than its neighbours, roughly mid-twenties to fifty. Thursday belongs to a FLINTA and friends night. Friday and Saturday are the busy ones. Smoking is allowed.
The bar describes itself as the gayest ungay gay bar in town, and then adds that these days you would just call it queer.
