Man Moviethek is a gay cinema, cruising bar and adult shop on Vereinstraße, a few streets from Essen main station. It has been the city's main cruising address for decades.
Behind the shop are a large cinema hall open to everyone who pays in, several video cabins, glory holes and a cruising area.
The fetish party Subjekte, run by the association Schwule Subkultur, takes the place over several times a year. Those nights have a strict dress code and there are changing facilities on site, so you do not have to travel in gear.
