About this Event
CSD Erfurt is run by Erfurt Pride and covers Thuringia as much as the city, which shapes the tone: the organisers describe it as a demonstration first, against discrimination across the state, and a celebration second.
The main day is built around the march through the centre, followed by a street festival with its own music line-up. The official after-show party, PridEBurg, moves to the Engelsburg once the square empties.
A framework programme runs for a fortnight beforehand, with readings, workshops, a queer picnic, a bouldering group, church services and rapid HIV and syphilis testing among the dates. Erfurt Pride publishes the whole calendar on its own site, and much of it is free.
