It is a queer-friendly café, and the city's international LGBTQ+ group holds daytime meetups here. That is the practical value of it: somewhere to meet people in the afternoon in a city whose queer venues almost all open at night.
The kitchen runs to breakfast, bagels, sandwiches and salads, and it caters as well.
