A cocktail bar in Carlstadt, a few minutes from the Altstadt, that calls itself a "Cocktail Lab" and a "Salon Electrique". Deep red buttoned leather covers the walls and the room is small enough that the bar itself is the centre of the evening.
The crowd is queer and mixed in age. Düsseldorf's local LGBTQ+ directory files it under scene bars rather than under queer-friendly ones, which is the distinction that matters here.
It is as much a party place as a drinks bar. DJ sets and live music run regularly, and the room has a long-standing salsa night, so the evening can turn into dancing without warning.
