Valentino calls itself the gay cafe of the Dresden Neustadt, on Jordanstraße a short walk from Königsbrücker Straße. It works as a cafe in the afternoon and a bar later, with coffee and cake, ice cream, warm and cold snacks, and seats outside.
It is the daytime end of the Dresden scene and the easiest place in the city to arrive alone. Drag warm-up parties run here before the Dresdner Tuntenball, the city's annual drag ball, and there is space to dance when an evening calls for it.
The cruise club PICKUP is in the same building, which makes Jordanstraße 2 the one address in Dresden that covers both ends of a night.
