FRIENDS is a gay cocktail bar in the Bahnhofsvorstadt, five minutes on foot from Bremen main station. It has been running for twenty years and calls itself the goldigste bar in the city, which in Bremen dialect is a joke about being both sweet and gold-coloured.
Cocktails are the business here rather than beer: the list runs past eighty, mixed with fresh fruit, and the room is set up for sitting and talking rather than dancing. There is karaoke, and a bingo night, and the bar can be hired for a private party.
It sits a short walk from QUEENS and the rest of the small Bremen scene, which makes it the usual first stop of an evening. Seating outside in summer.
