Bronx is a small leather and fetish bar on a side street in the Ostertor quarter, and the only one of its kind in Bremen. The room is black, arched and fitted out with scaffolding and industrial fittings, lit blue and violet, with a bar that takes up most of it.
The music stays low enough to talk over, which is the point: the bar says people find company here quickly. The crowd is regulars plus visitors from further out. It is a smoking bar and too small for a separate non-smoking room. Anyone is welcome, gay, straight, bi or trans, and women are named as welcome too.
Next door is Pleasure Park, a private club with a darkroom and a sling. Membership is free and is issued over the bar; it is run as a non-commercial members' club rather than as part of the bar's business, and day passes cover guests who come with a member.
