Pride Bonn is the city's political Pride march. The organisers sum it up in three words: kämpferisch, unkommerziell, parteilos. That means a demonstration on foot through the city, no company floats, and no party-political blocks.
The march ends in a rally with political speeches and things to join in with, including a flashmob that is rehearsed beforehand. A lot of thought goes into access. There is a quiet block at the end of the march, hearing protection is handed out, the closing rally has seating, and the speeches are interpreted into sign language and available to read in German, in plain language and in other languages. Two rickshaws can be reserved by people who cannot walk the route.
The group behind it has been an association since 2024 and runs the march with volunteers and donations.
