Autour d'une Toile is a house for stays, retreats and seminars in Val-du-Faby, in the Aude about 25 minutes from Limoux. It takes up to ten guests in four rooms and puts guest rooms together with an artist's studio and a wellbeing programme.
All the rooms are on the first floor and each has its own shower room. Sahara sleeps up to four, Albizia three, and Mandala and the Gaïa suite two each. Guests share a salon with a library, a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a large balcony and a courtyard terrace. A 45-square-metre activity room with a wood stove is used for meditation, movement and music, and the studio holds the host's own paintings. There is no pool.
Stays are self-catering, or a private cook can be booked for organic, local and plant-based meals. Groups can take the whole house, and a few times a year the house runs stays of three days or more for men who want a break from city life, with optional meditation, sound journeys and painting.
